Quick, Snappy, and Oh-So-Pretty that’s what this card is! Sometimes you just need a card that looks fancy but takes less time than reheating yesterday’s coffee.

This week’s live project featured a layered fold that shows off both sides of your Designer Series Paper while still giving you plenty of room to write inside. I used the same gorgeous Pear DSP I’ve been loving lately, paired with the Perennial Postage Dies for that standout scalloped sentiment layer. I mean… just look at those flowers.

Here’s what makes this one a keeper:
Why You’ll Love This Quick Fun Fold Card Idea
- The base is basic. It’s a standard A2 card, but the top flap is trimmed and layered in a way that makes it feel like a custom fold.
- Double the DSP, double the fun. You get to showcase both the inside and outside of your paper. And that Pear DSP? Absolute sunshine in paper form.
- It’s scrap-friendly. The main sentiment layer was die cut from another sheet of DSP using the Perennial Postage Dies—so pretty, it basically designed itself.
- There’s space to write! Unlike some fun folds that leave you squinting for a place to sign your name, this one gives you a full panel inside to share a heartfelt message.

Let’s Break Down the Card
- Base: Petal Pink cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Layer 1 (outside mat): Yellow leaf patter from the 2025-2027 DSP 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Top Flap: 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (scored @ 1/2″)
- Top Flap Mat: Painterly Pears, pears & floral pattern from the Pear DSP 3″ x 4 3/4″
- Top Panel: Basic White block cut with Perennial Postage Dies, stamped with “Just a Note”
- Inside Layers: Basic White reveals the “Sending warm wishes” message with a 3/4″ strip (the cut-off of the front mat) of the In-Color leaf pattern.
- Finishing Touch: A bit of black thread wrapped behind the die cut for texture and contrast
