Field Flowers

This will be the last of my posts with my personal convention swaps. This first continues from yesterday's post. I used the Well Worn Designer Series Paper and Field Flowers Stamp Set. This is one of my favorite sets from the new Catlog/Idea Book. But I must admit, it is one of two sets  I have stamped with to this point! Field flowers rust

I used Cajun Craze as the card base,

matted it onto Early Espresso

and the marbled DSP is from the Well Worn pack.

I used Cajun Craze and

Always Artichoke inks for stamping the images.

Filed flowers brown

This is my favorite from all the different colors I did. The Not Quite Navy with the bloked colors is my second favorite.

I used

River Rock as the card base, using the direct to paper technique with Early Espresso ink, matted it in Early Esprasso and again used Always Artichoke and Early Espresso inks.

Tomorrow I will share a class I have coming up in August using this great set. (This was my class for my class swap at convention) You are not going to want to miss this one!

Stampin’ Up! Convention swaps

Ok, Iknow this has taken quite a bit of time but I have finally gotten a chance to share a few of my swaps that I made for convention this year. This first swap uses the stamp set, Turtle & Co. , which is our Ronald McDonald House Charities exclusive set for this year. Stampin' Up! will donate $3 for each set sold.

I will be holding a class in August featuring this stamp set to go to My Calendar of Events to get all the details. This is just one of the projects we will be making in this fun class!

Ronald Mc I used Certainly Celery,

Marina Mist,

Poppy Parade ,

So Saffron &

Whisper White cs

and our

Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (DSP)

in creating this fun card.   I did an assortment of cards using these colors and the different pattern you find in the DSP to create about 80 cards of with different looks. I got 18 cards from each piece of DSP and used 1 sheet almost of each in the package. If you used all the DSP you could get 216 assorted cards from just 1 package!

With holding to the same basic layout and idea here is a more formal/elegant card swap using the Field Flowers stamp set. Floral blue

The colors I used are:

Not Quite Navy,

Cajun Craze,

Always Artichoke

Well Worn DSP

Like the RMHC set, I used both sides of the DSP to give the cards different looks. I also used an embossing folder on some for added texture. Here is a look of the same sheet of DSP, only the reverse side:

Blue floral 2

This color combination seemed to be the favorite for those that like color , but, when I pulled out the one's I used the embossing folder, which had a more shabby/chic look, people said they loved them too! Everyone made a comment that they would never pair the Well Worn DSP with this set but they loved them all!!

Be sure to check tomorrow for more convention swap shares. I will also be posting a special class using the Field Flowers Stamp Set

Convention

I arrived in Salt Lake City 30 minutes early- is it possible for a pilot to get a speeding ticket? I am always happy to see the mountains and beautiful scemery in Salt Lake City it's a great place to hold convention. I will be spending the day next to the pool putting together my final swaps. I didn't bring as many swaps with me this year as I have in the past but I will still be coming home with lots of ideas!

I will be staying in a suite with 5 other demostrators from across the states. I am looking forward to chatting with them nightly to share what we have learned from our classes aqnd other demonstrators we chat with. I absolutely love networking with others and making new friendships. I am also looking forward to chatting with old friends I have made at other SU! Events.

Just info for you today

Yikes! I went to post the pictures of the goodies I gave out at my open house this past Friday and realized I didn't take pictures of them. So I won't be sharing them with you as I had promised last week. We all had a great time and I have received several phone calls and emails that everyone had fun and enjoyed their gifts and the make & take~ whew~ I always worry about that.
I am starting my swaps for convention and will share those with you in a few weeks. I am working on the pices but have to wait until I can order the new Designer Series Paper and stamp sets.
Have you pre-ordered your NEW Catalog/Idea Book from me yet? Don't wait as I have gone through 6 boxes so far and have placed another which will arrive right after the 4th of July. I have also heard from several of you that you are liking the scrapbook pages I have shared and asking if I would share more in the future. I will.
No pics today but I will have a few projects for you this week so be sure to come back!
