Grinch-Inspired Cookie Boxes Made Easy

December 26, 2025 by Judi Anderson Leave a Comment

26 Dec

Grinch-Inspired Cookie Boxes are one of my favorite ways to spread a little holiday cheer—especially when cookies are involved. This year, I created these fun treat boxes for our neighbors with a playful Grinch Christmas theme that was festive, slightly mischievous, and completely handmade. They were the perfect mix of stamping, packaging, and just enough sparkle to feel extra special.

Instead of focusing on an intricate card, I wanted the packaging itself to be the star. Using the Round We Go Stamp Set, I stamped bold circles that instantly gave the boxes a whimsical, modern look. Circles are one of those design elements that work for just about any occasion, and here they were ideal for echoing ornaments, candy dots, and that classic Grinch color palette.

The color combo really brought everything to life. I used Poppy Parade, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Basic White cardstock for a crisp, cheerful base. For ink, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade were the obvious choices—they scream Grinch in the best way possible. To keep things fun and festive, I added a sparkly element to the stamped circles, giving the boxes a bit of holiday shine without overwhelming the design.

Rather than stamping a sentiment, I chose to create a computer-printed tag with a playful message and our names. This is such a great option when you’re making multiples or want a very specific font or saying. Finished with a festive ribbon, the tags tied everything together (literally) and added that final polished touch.

Grinch-Inspired Cookie Boxes: Supplies Used

Stamp Set: Round We Go (retired) but you can use any circle image

Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Lemon-Lime Twist, Basic White

Ink: Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade

Extras: Sparkly embellishments, ribbon, computer-printed tags

These boxes were filled with homemade Grinch cookies, making them a sweet surprise for our neighbors and a reminder that handmade gifts don’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.

I didn’t include a step-by-step tutorial here, but you can watch the full process on my YouTube channel, where I walk through how these boxes came together and share tips for creating festive packaging with stamps you already own. Be sure to check out the video and save this idea for next year’s holiday gifting—or anytime you want to add a handmade touch to treats.
