A club memberr requested that we create one of our projects with the Flower Garden embossing folder for our club this month. I used: the Flower Garden # 123113 & Perfect Polka Dots #1173335 embossing folders, the Large oval #119885 , Scallop Oval #119856 & Eyelet Border #119853 punches, and the Oval All # 113790 stamp set to create this card. They had the choice of coloring the floral image of the Flower Garden embossing folder by either using a sponge dauber and our Pastels or watercoloring. Most chose to do the pastels but I was happy when one of them got adventurous and wanted to try watercoloring it. Hint; if you choose to watercolor an embossed image remember to use lighter colors as the embossed paperr will absorbe the color deeper because you have moved moved the fibers . They all turned out gorgeous!! I also made Cindy a card to take home that I had watercolored in fall colors but forgot to scan it before she took it, it was my favorite.
The colors I used for the watercoloring were:
Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzaz,
Wisteria Wonder & Elegant Eggplant.
You want your aquapainter brush a little
more wet than dry when doing this
technique.
I have rescanned this card several times and still can't get it to show how beautiful it really is- sorry. The Pretty in Pink and Wisteria Wonder are soft colors in this so don't really show up. The Pear Pizzaz is actually alot softer than it appears here ~ funny how that happens?! I urge you to try this technique as you won't be disappointed! Be sure to get your Flower Garden Embossing Folder today….
