. Behind the Scenes Crafting Chaos has taken on a whole new meaning at our house this month. Normally, that phrase just describes a typical day in my stamp studio—missing adhesives, glitter explosions, and half-finished cards. But lately? It’s been actual chaos.
We’re in the middle of home construction. Think loud tools, open walls, and dust in places I didn’t know dust could reach. My creative space has turned into a moving target. I’ve been bouncing from table to counter, looking for a quiet corner to stamp. And let me tell you, trying to emboss a card while the power goes out? Not recommended.
Still, I’ve found time to sneak in crafting moments between the commotion. It’s been messy, but also a reminder that creativity doesn’t need perfection—it just needs space to breathe.
Behind the Scenes Crafting Chaos: Family, Fireworks, and Fresh Ink has been the name of the game lately.
The 4th of July: A Perfect Distraction
Just when the sawdust started to win, the 4th of July is coming to the rescue. We will be spending the day with family, friends, and a very spoiled pack of dogs. Our camp will be filled with laughter, hot dogs, and the kids running wild with glow sticks. We will be attending the town parade and fireworks.
The dogs? Let’s just say they’ll enjoy every single dropped chip and unattended plate.
It will feel good to step away from the hammering and reconnect with why we make handmade cards and memory books in the first place—to celebrate moments that matter. Sharing that time with people we love (and furry friends who think they’re people) make it extra special.
