What is Better than Fall, a Pumpkin Spice Idea for Fall Crafting

What is Better Than Fall & sweater weather? (For me it’s the sun & beach!) When you think of fall, one thing immediately comes to mind: pumpkin spice. Whether you’re sipping a latte or lighting a pumpkin candle, nothing feels more seasonal than those warm orange-and-brown tones. That’s exactly the inspiration behind today’s project—this Better Than Fall Pumpkin Spice Card that doubles as a gift card holder. Perfect for treating a friend to coffee or sending a cozy autumn hello!

What is Better than Fall, #stampingTechniques

Creating Cozy Fall Layers

This card starts with a Basic White card base cut to 8 ½” x 5 ½” and scored at 1 ½” and 4 ¼”. This fold creates the surprise element: a pocket for slipping in a gift card. From there, I layered on Peach Pie Two-Tone cardstock, first blending Pumpkin Pie ink over the surface to add extra warmth. The tone-on-tone stamping builds depth and gives a rustic, textured look—almost like a cozy flannel shirt in paper form. Next, I embossed it with the Plaid 3-D Embossing Folder and used a sanding block to sand the raised areas. This gave it even more dimension and texture.

To bring it all together, I stamped and cut the coffee cup, whip cream topping (stamped with Basic Beige), and sentiment pieces. With a swirl of Cajun Craze ink and a touch of Pumpkin Pie, the cup instantly transforms into a pumpkin spice latte that looks good enough to sip! A few sprinkles stamped in Pumpkin Pie & Cajun Craze gives the whipped topping a realistic, frothy finish.
