Stamping fun at Camp Quality

I was recently asked to help out with stamping and scrapbooking at Camp Quality. Illinois. CampQualityIllinois is in the business of ensuring that every child, in Illinois, who has been diagnosed with cancer can not only have a summer camp experience, but year-round programs to enhance their quality of life and encourage quality family time.

I was excited to be given the chance to bring joy of stamping and scrapbooking their memories to over 40 children out of the 76 attending. I was asked to use their inventory of donated paper. I coordinated papers for each scrapbook that was made with our 6×8 pocket pages and mat boards for the front & back.

here are pictures of some of the supplies waiting to be picked up.

And some of the many children ages 4-17 that had a great time making the albums their own. Each child had a companion who was with them throughout the week.

Just look at those smiles!

It brought such joy to my heart to see them working on their albums. I listened to them tell me about how much fun they were having and what pictures they were planning on putting inside. They loved that I brought some punched out cats, dogs, flowers and shapes. They told me about what they were looking forward to for the week. While we had mostly girls, we had a few very creative boys making an album too.

This time at Camp Quality will be treasured in my heart. I plan on helping them with a few of their fund raisers and hope to return to camp next year.

Thank you for reading about this special experience.
