No-Line Watercolor Technique will have you stamping like a painter

No-line watercolor technique will have you stamping like a painter! Do you often admire watercolor paintings only wishing that you could paint like that?

In creating this card I used the Country Home stamp set (#147678), the Ornate Layers Dies (#152726) and Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel, Whisper White, Lovely Lipstick and Fluid 100 Watercolor paper.

Using a few tips and tricks when doing the no-line watercolor technique and you will achieve a similar look with ease.

Tip #1

  • You will want to start by stamping your desired image(s) with a light water base ink. I love using Sahara Sand for most of mine. Stamping the image off 2-3 times before stamping on your watercolor paper will get you the best results.

Tip #2

  • Use a paper that will allow you to work with as much or as little water as you desire. I recommend our Shimmery White (#101910) or our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (#149612). I most cases I use the watercolor paper.

Tip #3

  • We have some NEW WATER PAINTERS coming! This assortment has 3 different sized tips, 1 fine tip 1 medium tip and 1 large flat brush tip.

Tip #4

  • If you find that you have too much water, dab some off with a paper towel. You may find that if your image has many smaller images letting the colors dry before moving onto the next will help avoid the colors bleeding into one another.
