Kind & Cozy Sunburst card

When I think of the Stampin’ Up! Kind & Cozy stamp set I think of a big hug. The stamps in this set reminds me of my younger years and give me that “comforting” feel. Our kitchen had gingham curtains and my mom would make sure there were always flowers in the middle of the tiny table when she and my grandma sat drinking their coffee.

This set has them all!

Today’s card is a picture from my memory.

Kind & Cozy

The sunburst technique signifies the sun rays coming through our window making the kitchen bright and warm. Oooo, I can smell the flowers outside as the breeze blows through the open window!

Kind & Cozy stamp setI used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the verse and flowers. The gingham border on the circle reminds me of our curtains.

Flower DetailI couldn’t not include a few 3-D flowers. I used our Itty Bitty ShapesPunch Pack for the flowers, our Cupcake Builder punch for the centers, and a pen and my pierce mat to give the flowers the 3-D effect. The Bird Builder Punch was used for the leaves.

I will be sending my mom this card to remind her that she is always in my thoughts. She enjoys receiving cards. I hope this card reminds her of our kitchen in her younger days too. ( I know she will tell me our kitchen had red & white curtains not pink & white but that’s ok it will make me happy knowing she remember.
