How to Make a Peekaboo Window Card with Colorful Florals

How to make a Peekaboo Window Card that shouts, “I appreciate you!”.

Need a cute card that looks complicated but totally isn’t? This peekaboo window card is your new crafty best friend. I grabbed the Impressions Abloom Bundle and let those dies and stamps do the heavy lifting—because we’re not here to stress.

Darling Duckling cardstock makes the perfect base. It’s sunny, sweet, and sounds like something you’d find at a baby shower. I used the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch to cut a window in the card front. Instant drama, zero effort. That peekaboo window gives a little teaser of the stamped image inside. Like a movie trailer, only with flowers.

I stamped the inside image using Darling Duckling, Poppy Parade, and Shy Shamrock. Who knew ducklings and shamrocks went so well? The die-cut flowers and leaves? Just scraps. Because we love a project that looks fancy and uses up the leftovers.

My sentiment strip says “I appreciate you”—placed on an angle, because straight lines are overrated. Tied a linen thread bow to make it look like I tried harder than I actually did. Crafty illusion: nailed it.

Open the card and boom—floral magic! The design continues inside like you totally planned it that way (you did, of course). I layered a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White panel and added a one-inch strip of In Color DSP. Stamping the flower through the window ensures it is seen through the window.

Added some die-cut bits to the DSP strip for extra flair. Because why not? Extra flowers never hurt anyone. The layout is easy to copy and switch up. Same technique, different sass—go wild with it. Change the punch, the colors, or the sentiment. Just don’t forget to act like it took forever.
