How to create a card design for any stamp set and theme

How to create a card design that you can easily change for different stamp sets can help make your designing easier. Start by taking different shapes and sizes of paper. This can even be scraps. Don’t worry about the colors at this point. You are just figuring out the design. Next nyou will want to choose a stamp set and your papers. Today I am sharing a design that began this way.

My card design begins with the layout. It is simple. I have used paper strips and circles. The strips have one of thier ends cut to create banners of different sizes. By varying the widths and lengths I create movement. I have also used different patterns of the Brights 6×6 Designer Series Paper. Arrange these stirps differently to change up the look of the card.

The next element of my design are circles. I have punched two circles that are 2 3/8″ and one punched 2″ Basic White Circle. Change the circles out with a different shape to achieve different looks.

I have chosen the Hey Chuck stamp set. This set can be for anyone on your card list. It can also be used for a variety of occassions. The image I chose adds to the circular motion. Did you notice how the entire image isn’t showing in the circle? This is a trick that seasoned stampers will use. I find that new stampers think that the entire image has to fit into the shape.
