Hand made card challenges~ do you like to do them?

Hand made card challenges~ do you like to do them to spark your creativity? My Team and friends have been loving the card challenges I have been running in the past months.

I have been running them in a private Facebook Community I and my TEAM offer exclusively for our clients. These challenges have kept everyone ; stamping, expressing their creativity, and having fun since this past February. Here is what people are saying:

  • Chris has said,” I love the challenges because it helps me in my card designs and it is SO MUCH fun!”
  • Pam said,” Your challenges has kept me stamping. It gives me a starting point which helps me get the many cards I need to make done quicker.”
  • Monica has let me know,” I love challenging myself and seeing if I come close to what Judi’s has designed. I love seeing what everyone comes up with.”

I have received over 30 requests to join this exclusive community because the word has gotten out about the challenges and how fun they are. Because of these requests, I have decided to move the challenges to my HapBEE Stamping with Judi Facebook Group.

This is a group/community is my business group where we have stampers who are just beginning and those who have been stamping for a while. We encourage everyone to share their projects. These projects can be cards, memory pages, 3-D items and home decor items. We cheer each other on and give tips when asked. If this sounds like a community that you would like to be part of , we invite you to join! You can join by signing into Facebook and ask to join by clicking here.

Hand made card challenges, what are they?

My challenges are different than most. I give a set of measurements for your paper pieces. I do not give you a card map or photo. I find that these inhibit your creativity. You then decide on your color scheme and what set you want to use. Using the pieces I give you, you create a project.

You may find the first challenge to be a little difficult but once you see what others post you will get the hang of it. I then come on the following week and during a live class, share my project and the inspiration card/project. It is so much fun to see what everyone creates. In fact, I have been blown away with the projects shared. I especially love seeing how the new stampers begin to grow.

Here is a sample of one of the challenges I ran.

This is the sample I made live.

During the live group members not only learned how I interpreted the measurements but also:

  • The stamp set I used (Mountain Air)
  • Masking
  • Sponging background
  • A paper saving technique

At the end of the Live I pull a name from everyone who posted their project with the challenge measurements and details. What do they win? The card I create!
