Darling Dinos Fun Fold

Darling Dinos fun fold, this is playful, easy to make, and perfect for sending a smile! Whether you’re crafting for a dino-loving kiddo or just love mixing adorable with elegant, today’s project hits the sweet spot. I paired the Darling Dinos stamp set with the softly painted Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper—and the results are dino-mite.

Be sure to check out another fun card with this set HERE!

You’ll love how this fold lets you show off both sides of your Designer Series Paper without a complicated template. Just a few score lines and a cute focal image, and you’ve got a card that stands out from the rest.

Supplies You’ll Need

Here’s what I used to create this fun fold card:

Cardstock & Paper

  • Basic White Thick card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 1-1/4″ and 5-1/2″
  • Basic White (scrap) – 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
  • Floral Impressions DSP –
    • Floral side: 4″ x 4″
    • Reverse striped side: 1″ x 4″
    • Tiny scrap: 1/8″ x 4″

Inks & Coloring Tools

  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (for stamping)
  • Soft Sea Foam Ink (for blending + stamped grass)
  • Stampin’ Blends:
    • Fresh Freesia (Light & Dark)
    • Peach Pie (Light & Dark)
    • Light Soft Sea Foam
    • Dark Old Olive

Tools & Embellishments

  • 2-3/8″ Circle Punch
  • Blending Brush
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Sunny Days Iridescent Dots

Darling Dinos Fun Fold with a Sweet Floral Twist

To build the card, start by folding your Basic White Thick base along the score lines. This creates a shorter front flap that opens to reveal your inner sentiment and gives the card its signature fun fold style. Adhere the 4″ x 4″ floral DSP to the top section and the 1″ x 4″ striped piece to the lower flap. That leftover 1/8″ strip? I used it as a visual “bridge” between the two patterns—it’s tiny, but makes a big difference in balancing the design!

For the focal image, I stamped the dino in Memento Black and colored it using Stampin’ Blends. I love how the Fresh Freesia and Peach Pie combo gives this dinosaur a gentle, whimsical vibe. I then blended Soft Sea Foam ink onto a white scrap using a Blending Brush, added stamped grass, and punched it out with the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch. It’s popped up with Dimensionals so the edge of the circle tucks under the front flap to keep the card closed.

And yes, those Sunny Days Iridescent Dots? Totally necessary sparkle.

Want to Make Your Own?

This Darling Dinos fun fold card is surprisingly versatile—just swap the sentiment and colors for birthdays, thinking-of-you notes, or even baby showers. The simple fold works with so many layouts and lets your favorite DSP and stamps shine.
