A beautiful blushing rose is used to say thank you

A beautiful blushing rose is great way to send a special thank you. I love sending thenk you cards for small acts of kindness. And who doesn’t like getting happy mail?

I feel the art of thank you cards and hand written letters is getting lost in this age of electronics. A sure way to make someone feel extra special is send them a card or letter through the mail. Imagine the smile they will have on their face. I bet it is from ear to ear!

I am using the recently retired Crane of Fortune Designer Series paper. The softness of the color Blushing Bride combined with Gray Granite it is my color combo choice for today’s card. This is one of my combo go-to’s for wedding cards. In fact, this design could easily be a wedding card by just changing the sentiment!

Adding several layers to my design gives it interest. Let me know how you like the uneven Basic White mat. I feel it adds a simple, yet different look. I stamped and water colored the leaves using Gray Granite Ink. Would you have chosen to do these in a green instead? Stamping and water coloring the rose, in Blushing Bride gives the rose a soft, varied look. You may be thinking, ” I thought you couldn’t watercolor an image when stamping the image in a water-based ink.” You can. You just need to be careful not to smear the stamped lines. I love how this blushing rose card turned out, do you?
