I will be honest with you, I was skeptical when I heard that we were going to offer completely clear stamps. Even though they are being offered on a trial basis I thought, “Really? I haven’t found one completely clear stamp that I have liked & I hope these stand up to Stampin’ Up!’s high quality.” I can say, they do!
I have some friends that purchased clear stamps and raved about them when they first got them. After a few uses they started complaining about these issues; they didn’t stamp a clear image after a few times stamping with them, some tore easily, they squished when they stamped with them, they started discoloring after using them. Guess you could say they didn’t rave about them anymore. . . . They often would comment they hoped if Stampin’ Up! offered clear stamps that they would be as good as our current rubber stamps. They asked me if we would ever offer clear stamps because they loved being able to see through them when they stamped. I would just answer, ” I am not sure but I am sure they are looking into them and won’t offer them unless the materials stand up to their standards.
I decided to purchase our first Photopolymer stamp set, Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set and to my surprise, like them! I had my club members give them a try on one of the projects they made, they too were surprised and most purchased them. I will warn you, if you don’t want them to be stained don’t use StazOn ink with them. We do not suggest you clean them with StazOn cleaner so the ink will leave them stained.
I was excited when I logged onto the demo website this morning and saw the release of a NEW Photopolymer set. Bombs Away Birthday. Can I say, “It’s the bomb!”? This set is just too cute. Here is a video Stampin’ Up! did to help you learn about our Photopolymer stamps:
