Two beautiful colorful butterflies are above a field of flowers. I love watching butterflies fluttering about in my gardens. I’m amazed by the different beautiful colors of each species.
I have planted flowers to attract butterflies in my flower and vegetable gardens. Loving the array of colors in them. Filled with purples, pinks, oranges with pops of yellow and white. The Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper (159112) reminds me of my gardens. Here is a photo of my orange and purple coneflowers. As you can see, I have a birdbath that also serves as water for butterflies.
Wanting to create my own beautifuI butterflies, I started by watercoloring our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Did you know July is World Watercolor Month? I grabbed my Watercolor Painter. Parakeet Party, Calypso Coral, and Fresh Freesia inks. Spreading the colors onto the watercolor paper with the water painter. Then I let it dry.
Two beautiful colorful butterflies are cut using the Butterfly Brilliance Dies.
I cut each butterfly from different areas of the water colored paper. I used our Butterrfly Wings Dies (155523). The blended inks create unique looks to each of them. Using a blending brush I added some color to the smaller mat. I used Calypso Coral ink and a blending brush to one of the paper patterns to achieve this effect.
Heat embossing thank you, in white, onto the Fresh Fresia banner makes it stand out.
As you know, one of my favorite color combinations is purple and orange. This is why I believe I am loving this particular pack of designer papers. There is a lot of purple and orange in it!
Until we meet again,
