Today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day! I can’t think of a better reason to go enjoy a chocolate ice cream cone today.
Do you like chocolate or vanilla ice cream better? I do enjoy vanilla in some instances but will choose chocolate nine out of ten times. My husband solves this question by getting swirl ice cream cones.
I love chocolate ice cream, especially when it has almonds in it. My favorite chocolate almond ice cream is made by Baskin Robin’s . When my husband and I were dating in High School we would often stop at Baskin Robin’s and grab a cone with chocolate almond and orange sherbert. He chose rocky road in place of chocolate almond. The rich chocolate ice cream filled with whole almonds and the tangy orange sherbert was the perfect combination. We miss these trips to Baskin Robin’s as they were back then, and talk of our visits often.
To celebrate National Chocolate Ice Cream Day I made this gift card holder.
Using the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set (158224) and the coordinating Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch (154241) made creating this gift holder quick and easy! These two items are available at a 10% savings through June 30,2021, when you purchase the bundle.
I created my favorite chocolate and orange sherbert cone to place on the front of the gift card holder. As I was making this project I began thinking how fun it would be to invite a few neighbors over for an ice cream bar. I could make a cute banner with a variety of ice cream cones floating throughout the banner flags. Making different ice cream picks to have sticking out of the different containers filled with candies, nuts, and sprinkles. This idea would be fun for a birthday party too!
This is the gift card holder with the tag pulled out. I will attach the gift card to the tag.
