The Northern Lights dancing in the sky is a beautiful site. It is on my bucket list to go to Canada to watch them one day. I have seen them, very slightly, on a trip to the Upper Peninsula. They were mostly yellow with a very little of green and were hard to see because of the clouds.
I let my imagination roam when creating 3 different backgrounds. I am using the Simply Marbelous 6×6 Designer Series Paper. This stack is a Level 1 Sale a-bration item which you can earn them for free with every $50 you purchase. This stack of papers is available through February 28,2020 or until quantities last. You only have a couple of days to get it!
This first card is inspired by our many walks in the woods. We will often see deer walking. I I think it would be amazing to see the Northern Lights as a backdrop to the beautiful foliage and deer we often see.
The Northern Lights dancing in the sky in different patterns.
This card has the lights dancing in a swooping motion. I imagine them dancing and swooping to musical notes. In this card I imagined walking up to the edge of a hill and looking out into the sky.
It seems the Northern Lights are calmer here. What a relaxing scene with the mountains and a lake. Look how the reflection of the lights glimmer in the water.
I had fun sharing how to create these cards on my Tools and Techniques Live Class. I do this class every Thursday on my Facebook Page and You Tube Channel at 7:00 PM (CT). If you enjoy learning new techniques and what you can do with your stamping tools I encourage you to join us! You will want to “like” and “follow” me on Facebook. You can “subscribe” to my You Tube Channel and be sure to click the bell to receive notifications when I post a new video and go live.
Here is a video showing; how to do the technique, which papers, and the colors I used for each of the cards. As you can see, you get a different effect with each.
Which is your favorite? Leave a comment and let me know!
Until we meet again. . .
