For this “In A Snap, Step-Up” I am continuing to use the Button Buddies & Teeny Tiny Phrases stamp sets and the color palette of ; Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo, & So Saffron. I decided to make this for a baby boy so I omitted the Melon Mambo but if you wanted to make it for a baby girl you could change out the Bashful Blue and replace it with Melon Mambo. If you were attending a baby shower and didn’t know the sex of the baby you could make this card using just the Certainly Celery & So Saffron. I used the marker on stamp technique to color the image.

Autumn Splendor, retiring Stampin’ Up! set

Autumn is my favorite time of year and that is why I think I am always drawn to our sets like Autumn Splendor that contain leaves. I love the colors of autumn and the ability to experiment with color and techniques when using sets for this time of year. The fine line details found in the images of the stamps in the Autumn Splendor stamp set give the leaves an elegant / formal look. I helped one of my cutomer use this set for her daughters wedding invitations, the table seating cards and to accent the favors. She embossed the leaves in gold on our Shimmer White cardstock. She told me the guests were all amazed that she made them and most commented on how elegant and professional looking they were. She couldn't thank me enough for the idea and the help.

This is a card I made for a family friend that retired this past fall. As you can see, it is simple, yet has alot of texture and the wow factor.

Winter Post, Stampin’ Up! retiring stamp set

Winter Post is a stamp set that I used for some of my holiday cards these last few years.  The card I am sharing with you today is one of the 6 different cards I created for friends and workshop  guest & online order thank you’s two years ago. For the online orders I did a 3×3 version of this design.  I did receive several people contacting me saying that they loved this card. It isn’t the traditional card you would think of designing with the Winter Post set, I wanted to do a more contemporary card as a challenge. The Designer Series paperr was one offered for the 2010 holiday season and I took my color cues from it.
