This gift tag is created using the Moving Forward stamp set & is complete with our frolicking frog! Just in time for spring, this little guy has picked some flowers and is bringing to you to plant.

Bike tagDon’t you just love making your own personalized gift tags to add to gifts you give away? I do. I putting together a gift of flowers to a dear friend and thought this tag would be perfect for it! I usually tie the gift tags to the gift but I think I will be making a plant poker to attach this one to. I know you are loving all the cute images in the Moving Forward stamp set as much as I do. I really can’t get enough of that frog- he is such a cutie pie! After I completed the tag I thought I should have used the springy image to have him bouncing up and down on the seat. Next tag. Did you see the tag I posted on my Facebook page? No? Well then, you just have to get on over there: here’s the link. While you are there be sure to click on the “like” button in the upper right hand corner so you get all the exclusive projects I post there too!

A second page for my new grandbaby’s scrapbook. I know she will be bound to play with frogs when she goes away on a weekend away with us. Our own children just loved going to the “frog pond” when they were little so this will definately be on our “to do” list when she is old enough.

I used the flower and frog images from the Moving Forward set to create this fun page. The colors are Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. DSC00370

The chevron is a strip of patterned paper is from our Summer Smooches Designer Series paper. I also used 2 more different designed paper from this paper pack on the tab element.  That’s a kinda big tab wouldn’t you say?

Wonder why. . . .

I created the flower border by stamping the images side by side. This is really easy- I didn’t even have to use the stamp-a-ma-jig!flower border

And  just how cute are those frogs bouncing their way across the bottom of the page? I see that big smile they put on your face! frog border

Now for that tab . . . . . . . . .

secret journaling tab

It is for either hidden journaling or more pictures!

I often tuck elements like this on my scrapbook pages, I use them for special journaling or pictures that I want to share with my special someone. If you have attended my events you have learned a few different ways to do this.

I started doing this when my children would say to me,” Mom, can you put a piece of paper over that,I don’t want everyone to see that.”  They liked the pictures or what I wrote but just didn’t want to share it with everyone looking at their book.  Most people looking at the pages won’t know I have tucked something in the page. Sneeky, huh?

As I was creating my In A Snap version for my Facebook post yesterday I was imagining this version. I just couldn’t wait to create this gift card holder when I was creating my Facebook card. The sailboat image from the Moving Forward stamp set just seems to be bobbing along the water.

I added the layer of Island Indigo and used the  Adorning Accents Edgelit to create the waves ~ too dang cute, eh?  The scallops even have scallops! I added a strip of  Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, a Neutrals Button held on by 2,  1/8″ silver mini brads rounds out the nautical feel.

The note card was created by cutting the card stock to measure 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and then scoring it in half at 2 3/4″. The belly band is stapled at each edge to allow the note card to slide in and out.

Inside you will see I created a pocket on the inside of the card front to hold a gift card. I stamped the sailboat so only a part of it shows allowing you to write a little message.  DSC00369

In A Snap- A Step Up project Series #1,scrapbook page

This is my final project for Series #1 in my In A Snap – A Step Up project. No, it’s not the end of the projects just the Series #1 which is the color palette of Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo & So Saffron. I will bringing you a new color palette next week with even more projects for you to copy and share!

This project has a special place in my heart because it is going to be one of the pages in my future grand-daughters memory book that I will be giving her parents in a few weeks. I just think these snails are so adorable and were the perfect image to use on this page. I  intend this page to be used when she starts crawling. I would like to a title of- “Cute as a button, creepin’ at a snails pace” but not sure they will want it as a title so I will make the title for them later. Now that I look at that title it reminds me of the Eric Church song- “Creepin”! Guess I could use creeping instead. . . . Oh my gosh, that song is stuck in my head now! Too funny.

To get back to the project at hand~ I used our Scalloped Border Punch for the edges of the picture mat and the tag. I plan to have them put the date and a little journaling in the tag. I was originally going to stamp the snails in black and water color them in using Certainly Celery & Melon Mambo inks but decided to add the buttons instead.

Button Buddies scrapbook page

A few other details I added are; the stitching along both edges of the bottom strip, the embossed polka dots on the picture mat edge, the Melon Mambo ribbon, the Rose Red button (coordinates great!). These little details are quick to add.

Until we meet again,

In A Snap, Step -Up Series #1, Button Buddies & Teeny Tiny Wishes Cherry card

In A Snap, Step-Up Series #1

This is the third project in my “In A Snap, Step-Up Series #1. I am continuing the use of the Button Buddies & Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets and the color palette of; Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo, & So Saffron. I just love these cherries ( they remind me of  snacking on the cherries that grew outside my bedroom window as a little girl) in the Button Buddies stamp set and plan on giving this card to a friend with some goodies. Once again, I used the marker to stamp technique to color the image. I just happened to find the paper clip in my desk drawer and it matched the Melon mambo cherries perfectly. The Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon co-ordinates great with the So Saffron card stock. I also ran my Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write marker along the edge of the tag to help highlight it.
