Serene Silhouetts

Are you looking for a stamp set with images that lend themselves to many different looks and techniques? Serene Silhouettes is a great choice & is my current favorite set.

This is a card I created for one of my swaps for Leadership.

Here are the supplies I used:

Inks: Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum, Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers. Perfect Plum Classic Ink Pad.

Paper: Perfect Plum, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White

Misc.: Punches- Itty Bitty Punch Pack #118309, modern label #119849, Pretty in Pink stitched grosgrain ribbon #126880, Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #113439, Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue # 110755

I used the “thumping” technique on the flowers to give them a 2-tone look. To create the “ticket” corners on the Pretty in Pink mat I punched them out using the circle punch that comes in the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, only inserting the corner about 1/3 in. I just love this trick and use it quite frequently on my paper crafts, cards and scrapbook pages. You can vary the size of your corners by using different size circle punches.

Leadership Conference Day 2

Does swapping cards with others, FREE product, stamping project ideas, business classes and a pajama party sound like fun? Yes? Well then you wold have loved our second day of Leadership Conerence.

Our day began with our general session but many demonstrators arrived early to swap the card fronts they made with other demonstrators. The doors opened and we all went into the Chapin Theater for the official start of Leadership Conference. In this session we learned many stamping project ideas as well as some new programs and future offerings.

There are 2 new offerings coming that I am super duper excited about, the first is a “man kit” called,” Dude, You’re Welcome” Kit & the second is our new Paper Pumpkin Kits in the mail program.

After lunch I attended classes to help me run a successful business. It was then time for some more swapping and dinner. After dinner we got to wear pajamas to return to our first ever night general session to stamp under the stars. Well, we didn’t stamp but we watched several demonstrations using the wonderful new products in the Spring Seasonal Catalog. Sorry I didn’t share pictures from today but my camera is in my suitcase with my swaps in a friends room.

Don’t you just love this coffee cup? I just had to go with the polka dot theme for this card. I think that this card has a bit of that vintage feel, don’t you? It reminds me of our kitchen when I was growing up.
