Quick, Oh Hello thank you card & Patterned Party birthday card

Happy Monday! Today I am sharing a simple Oh Hello thank you card as my C.A.S.E. (copy and steal everything)  &  a Patterned Party birthday card as my Switch card.

I received several emails from all of you saying you loved my wedding treat holder, thank you!

I went to our current Seasonal catalog for today’s C.A.S.E & switch. Our Tea for Two Suite is just sooooooo dang adorable! Don’t you just love the thank you card using the Oh Hello stamp set found on page 5?  I do! That is why I just had to copy it. This thank you card is quick to create and I know the recipient is going to be tickled pink when they receive it. I just have to spill the beans……. my girlfriend is fighting cancer and I have been making thank you notes for her to give those who are helping her out. Her supply is running low so I am sitting down this afternoon to make a dozen of these for her. I should be able to get them all done in about 30 – 45 minutes, yep, that’s how quick these are to do!

Now for my “switch” version………..

I loved the Oh Hello thank you  card so much I wanted to just switch out the colors, dang it!  But I promised to switch the stamp set and colors for this series so that’s what I did. How many times are we looking for a quick birthday card idea? If you’re like me, almost on a weekly basis. I will admit when I started out with this challenge I wasn’t too sure how this Patterned Party birthday card was going to turn out, I ended up loving it as much as the thank you card I C.A.S.E.d!

Patterned Birthday stamp setThe Patterned Party stamp set has such a wonderful argyle border that I used it for the stitching detail along the top of the card. I created the doily element using the Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies & the matching Festive piercing pack to add the detail to it. I actually looks like a piece of a circle in this scan because the ribbon covers the part where it squares off. I love this version too! I will be using this layout in the future!

Tea for Two Spring Wreath

What is a stamper to do with fabric? Lots! I love using fabric on cards, scrapbook pages, frames, and….wreaths. I recently held one of my quarterly all day events and taught guests how to create an assortment of flowers combining fabric and paper. The theme for the event was Beat the Winter Blues so this spring project fit the ticket!

For this particular project I went down memory lane and taught them how to create one of the fabric/paper flowers we created at Leadership a few years back. They also learned how to create; fabric roses using strips of our Tea for Two Designer Fabric extra-wide fat quarters &paper roses using an assortment of punches.

Here is a sample of the wreath they created. Fabric/paper wreath

After everyone finished they were able to get extra leaves if they wished to add some to their wreath. Everyone just loved this wreath and loved learning the different techniques in creating the flowers.

Want to learn how to make one of the flowers?

Be sure to come back on Tuesday, March 19 to learn how in my Tuesday’s Tip, Techniques, and Trends Made Simple Series.

The bride has chosen a light pink for her colors and loves bling. My son is has chosen a medium/ dark gray for the guys. I found some great mercury glass pieces for the centerpieces & she likes this and a few of the other ideas I have come up with. I am hoping she will like what I come up with for the favors. She says she likes clean/contemporary but many of the ideas she has liked have a vintage touch to them.

Easy Events CASE & Everybunny cards

This is my first “official” post on my new blog! As promised, I will be bringing you some new and exciting things here. I will be keeping house for the next few weeks, dusting out those cob webs, seeking out all those little items hiding in the corners, and getting my feet wet navigating through my new place. I hope you enjoy this new adventure with me!

The first new thing I would like to introduce you to is my NEW “Monthly Series” in which I will bring you projects that follow a specific theme. I will be posting this series on Monday and Thursday each week.

For March my series is called,” Why not C.A.S.E. ( copy and share everything) from our 2012 – 2013 Catalog? I will copy a sample from our catalog and then create another project using a different stamp set and color scheme. WHAT? You say you don’t have our 2012-2013 catalog? Contact me today and I will get one mailed to immediately!

The purpose of my C.A.S.E. series is to share & teach you how, you too, can create your own projects as a new stamper. This series will also help you veteran stampers out of your “creative brain freeze” & show you how to get those juices flowing again.

You will find this first project on page 35 of the 2012-2013 Catalog. I fell in love with this card the first time I set eyes on it. I don’t have the Paper Doily Sizzlit Die, # 125592, they used but substituted the the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits Die #126999.

Just a reminder: (w) means wood mount & (c) means clear mount.
