Easter Blessings & Best of Flowers stamp sets

When I received my Easter Blessings stamp I just couldn’t wait to use it with the hydrangea image fromBest of Flowers stamp set images(The Best of 25 Years Set) Best of Flowers .  I have a few smaller stamps that say Happy Easter and had my eye on this larger print stamp as soon as I saw it in our Seasonal Catalog. This is a single stamp so it only available as a wood -mount set. I just love the script & how it so elegantly flows, don’t you?

I created several cards using this set for my March Step-Up Class which had 3 different Easter cards & 2 thank you cards. I wanted a simple card using both of these sets for my 10-10-30 class.Participants did the “thumping technique” to create the  colors on the hydrangea. I am sure those of you that recognize this hydrangea are thinking,” Um, this sure does look smaller than I remember it.” You’re right! This set is a collection of 3  of the best flower stamps from the past quarter-century, only in a smaller size. I just love the sizes in this set as they are so versatile (and they go great with their larger original images).  This set also includes a never-before-seen flower image that coordinates perfectly with our 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle punch.

Stampin’ Up! retiring Courage stamp set

The Courage stamp set is one of my favorites to use when sending cards to our troops. I always have those participating in making cards for the troops to make at least 1 card using this set to thank them for their service. This card shows the basic card wee do, each time creating it with a different color. For this card we also used the Service & Sacrifice stamp set. You can find both these sets on page 50 of our 2011-2012 Catalog/Idea Book.

1This card is a Whisper White, 8 x 5 1/4 piece of cardstock scored at 4". We then embossed a frame on the front of the card using the Framed Tulips embossing folder for the Big Shot.   After stamping the image and chosen verse in Night of Navy Classic ink, we mounted the card onto a   4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy cardstock. Sometimes we will cover the center of the card with a piece of paperr and brayerr some of the same color ink over the embossed image to add more detail.
