A Stampin’ Up! Thank You

It started a few years back, a little gift of thanks from those packing orders at Stampin’ Up!. I began hearing that notes from Brad, Penelope, Julia and others were making it into orders. It was fun to hear about these notes because several employees have the same name as thriving actors & actress’s. These little notes of thanks came in the form of 3×3 note cards. I have been lucky enough to receive several myself- here they are:

Look, even an envelope liner! Stampin' Up! Paper Pumkin

Here is the card front- do you recognize it?Paper Pumkin Thank You

Marizela even wrote a little thank you inside. Stampin' Up! Thank You

I love that Stampin’ Up! shows their customers how much they appreciate them by sporadically tucking these notes in orders. You read that right. Stampin’ Up! puts these in all types of  orders, periodically. Not every order gets these, they are put in every once in a while which is why, I feel,  they are more meaningful. If you’d like a chance in receiving a thank you note from a Stampin’ Up! employee that packs your order, contact me today to book a workshop, or place an online order through my online store today!

Vivid Vases

I spent some time this past weekend working in my vegetable garden. As I was working in it I was wishing I had the flower gardens at this house that I had in our past house. I have begun planning my gardens so they are currently a work in progress- this is the year of getting rid of all the weeds and unwanted vegetation. I think it may take more than one season because I have several different plants that grow from roots. I did plant a few marigolds because I just can’t go with no flowers! I came in to prepare my technique & project for this week and was still thinking of the variety of flowers in my past gardens.

I went directly to my Vivid Vases stamp set because I love that I can do a variety of techniques with it. I was inspired by a swap I received at convention this year. The creator of the swap used our Signo White gel pen on her swap. While I could use the same technique she did I am wanting to share how to add color to your stamped images when using darker cardstock colors.

I just love the way this card turned out! I will share a video on Wednesday showing you this quick & easy technique to wow your friends!

Another version of my Flower Shop card

This is a quick post with the last Flower Shop sample for this week. It is similar to the actual project we did this week only with a few changes: I changed the stripe Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper from stripes to the polka dots, the verse to one from the Stampin’ Up! Yippee Skippee stamp set & I placed 1/2 a tea doily along the upper right of the circle.

Hello, Sailor

This second card created with the Hello, Sailor stamp set is my favorite. Of coarse it would be- it uses my favorite color- Crumb Cake.

Hello, Sailor stamp set (w-133275, c- 133278)

I just love how the pattern paper from the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack makes the elements of this card pop. In fact, I think most would look for a more traditional blue stripe to use on this card but who’s traditional?

This card isn’t your typical card as it measures 4″ x 4 1/4″.  This card proved to be quick & simple also. Here is what I used: paper- Crumb Cake (120953 ), Whisper White 100730( ), Basic Black (121045 ) , Cherry Cobbler (119685 ) , & Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (132966 ). I also used the on-trend On Film Framelits Dies (132969 ). The verse is heat embossed using our Encore Gold Ink Pad (132141 ) – one of our WEEKLY DEALS through March 3rd! The silver button was left over from my cards I made with our Happenings Simply Created Kit (133329).

Hello, Sailor – hoping the weather turns warmer soon!

Many of us are wishing the warm weather will be here soon, well I’m with you! I  received the “Hello, Sailor” stamp set when I attended Managers Reception at Leadership Conference back in January. Oh those temps of 60 -70 were wonderful!  I thought that  if I created some projects with this set it would help mother nature along.

Hello, Sailor stamp setHello, Sailor (w-133275, c-133278)

This card uses traditional nautical colors. I had wanted to use the coordinating  High Tide Designer Series Paper but realized I didn’t order it. . . . Time to get creative with what I do have! The Waterrcolor Wonder Designer Series Paper has a chevron pattern that reminds me of waves so I created around it. The Silver Foil paper banner adds a bit of sparkle. This card was quick and simple to create.

Hello, Sailor red white & blue

The colors of paper I used are:

Marina Mist(119682 ), Real Red (102482 ), Pacific Point (111350 ), Whisper White (100730 ), Silver Foil Sheets (132178 ), and Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (132994 ).

I heat embossed the ships wheel using our

Whisper White Embossing Powder(109132 )

I look forward to sharing more projects created with this Hello, Sailor stamp set.

Here are a few of the items I used to create this fun card.
