Are you ready to take your card design to the next level but not sure how? It can be as easy as adding an embellishment like rhinestones,pearls, enamel dots or a button. You could choose to change the fold or even add a technique to your design.
I did a few step ups for my card for this month’s hop. I started by creating a card with the Happiness Blooms (#148795) Designer Series Paper and the Fable Friends stamp set (#148670) for my basic card.
This card is your basic 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card,opening from the bottom. I added a strip of Whisper White cardstock and a piece of the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper. Don’t you just love how adorable this paper looks with this cutie?? Onto that layer, I added a mat of Call Me Clover with A piece of Whisper White in which I stamped and colored the adorable squirrel. Now, to step it up, I could have just added a few green enamel dots from the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots pack (#148805) and be done but I wanted to change it up a bit.
I changed the card to a double flap fold, added some of our Navy 1/2″ Gingham Ribbon (#144232), Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots (#148805), and punched flowers using the Bitty Blooms Punch pack (#148532) in Whisper WHite & Call Me Clover cardstock. The ribbon helps hold the small flap closed. This is what it looks like as you open the first flap. . .
Open the second flap to reveal some more punched flowers and another verse.
As you can see there is plenty of space to write a personal message inside.
I strategically placed the punched flowers to hold the ribbon in place.
