Paper scrap strips seem to grow in my drawer of scraps. Do yours? When I have trouble closing the drawer I know it is time to do something with them. No, I can’t just throw them away!
It’s time for some creative layouts with these strips. I will first group them together in “like” colors. The next step is to group them by card. Next, I will choose some cardstock for card bases.
I will score and cut my bases then lay them out onto my table. I lay my pattern paper strips onto the card bases and decide if I need to cut the strips shorter or leave them as they are.
Paper scrap strips seem to be everywhere at this stage.
Let the fun begin! I begin adhering the strips to the bases in different configurations. Once I have completed this step I will go into my cardstock scraps and pick out different sizes to use as mats.
Stamp sets, coordinating colors of ink are added to bring mew life to these strips of paper.
I used the Kindest Gnome Bundle (159626) for this paper strip card. It was so easy to coordinate with the patterned paper strips by coloring the gnome with co-ordinating Stampin’ Blends.
The inside of the card is just as fun!
I encourage you to go grab some of your paper strip scraps and start creating! It’s never been so much fun cleaning out drawers. . .
Until we meet again. . .
