May Flowers are blooming for SBTD

April showers (and snow) are behind us (well at least the snow is!) so we are looking forward to May flowers in this month’s SBTD Blog Hop.

Forever Lovely Bundle 150580

I just love that the Forever Lovely (148724) stamp set will be carrying over into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. The Lovely Flowers Dies will also be in the new annual catalog but you won’t be able to save 10% by purchasing it as a bundle (150580). This suite was shown as a Valentine suite but I find myself using it over and over again for many different occasions just by changing the colors I use. Just like changing colors for masculine cards, (see my post on that here, you can change the feel of your cards by changing the colors you use.

I used one of my favorite “happy” color combinations of Lemon Lime Twist, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch for my card today. I also incorporated the Frosted Bouquet Dies (147895) by adding the leaves and sprigs for more depth.

In this view you can see that I also tucked in some of my favorite Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (146912) in between the sprigs and leaves. Below you will see the inside of the card where I used the edgelit in Grapefruit Grove to embellish it. You should think of doing little things like this to the inside of your cards for an added touch.

Did you notice? You know how I am always saying there are no mistakes in stamping, well this card proves it! Well, I’m not going to tell you what it is! Instead, I would like you to leave a comment if you notice my mistake. I don’t think I could duplicate it again if I tried, but I will try! I loved how it made it have a more “on trend” look!!
