Masculine Theme for What’s New at SU! Blog Hop

7 May

Do you have trouble creating cards for the men in your life? We hope to help get your creative juices flowing with our masculine projects for this months’, What’s New at SU! Blog Hop.

We all have different conceptions of what makes a card masculine. Some think it is the colors used, some the paper, some the images. In my eyes these are all correct. I am going to share 2 versions of the same card, just changing one strip of Designer Series Paper gives the card a different feel.

This first card uses a strip that is colorful and has a more youthful feel to it. This card would be great for an infant or adult. The color combo of Real Red, Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist and gold has a masculine feel to it.

This second card uses the gold and black striped Designer Series Paper pattern which creates a more “adult” feel to it. Other items I used to add interest are; Gold Metallic Thread, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Folder, and the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

I hope I have given you some ideas to create some fun masculine cards of your own. Let’s see what Pia created for you this month!
