Hot Chocolate a delicious drink enjoyed by many in the colder weather. It is also a song, and a name of a band.
Today is National Hot Chocolate Day! The drink can be created by purchasing a hot chocolate mix in a packet or canister, or from scratch. You can make it using water, milk, or combination of both.
When buying the pre-mix, you can get plain or with marshmallows included. There are even flavored hot chocolates! I love a raspberry hot chocolate. Creating your own powder mix is quite easy. I make this and give canisters to friends.
Hot Chocolate a delicious drink that my children and grandchildren enjoy after playing in the snow.
Creating a Hot Chocolate Bar lets them create what they like. This also continues the fun! Include treats like; peppermint sticks, different flavored chocolate chips, mint, whip cream, marshmallow (both large and small). Sprinkles you use in baking are fun to put on top of the whip cream! For the adults, include some different flavors of alcohol too!
Creating hot chocolate with milk and bittersweet chocolate bar. This is easier than it sounds and my favorite because it is creamier and richer than using powdered cocoa. Here is a recipe that is close to what I make. If you try it, please leave a comment and let me know how you like it!
Sharing a packet of hot chocolate with friends can be special. Here is one that I recently created to share with neighbors. I shred how to create this on my Facebook Page.
Did you know that there was a song called Hot Chocolate in the movie Polar Express? Watching the movie several times with my children I never realized it! You can hear it on the movies’sound track.
Hot Chocolate are a British soul band that was popular during the 1970s and 1980s.The group had at least one hit song every year on the UK charts from 1970 to 1980.
I remember their hit, “You Sexy Thing“. It was a UK number two, and also made the top 10 in three decades and reached number three on the US Billboards top 100.
I hope you enjoy a special cup of Hot Chocolate today!
Until we meet again. . .
