“Gather Together”, wheat and pumpkins for a focal point

I love the look of the “Gather Together”, wheat and pumpkins for a focal point in this card. It’s been feeling a little like fall in the evening this week making me think of pumpkins, cider, and wheat fields.

I am a fall person. I love everything fall. The smell, the cool nights, the glorious colors that emerge everyday. Taking a drive down the old back roads, stopping at farm stands along the way is one of my favorite things to do.

With its fall images, the Gather Together stamp set jumped out at me

when we recently returned from one of these country rides. It was this short trip that inspired me to create this card.

The Pinewood Planks 3-D embossing folder (#152320) reminds me of the wood barns we passed. The plaid from the Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper (#153527) represents the colors of the country roads. The fall colors of; Cinnamon Cider card base, Cherry Cobbler Stitched Nested Labels (#149638), and pumpkins are those that Mother Nature is bringing us this season. Let’s not forget those speckles- they are the dust clouds behind the car! The sparkles are our Gilded Gems (#152478). These remind me of the bright sun glistening on the corn and wheat fields.

Enjoy the sights & take in the beauty when you go for a walk, car or bike ride. You can make yourself some notes or choose to sit down and create a card. Try to take the things you loved from this recent trip and put them into a card. It can be the colors, images, or both. Don’t forget that your ribbon or embellishments can help bring the textures to your project.

If you love fall as much as I do, the Gather Together, wheat and pumpkins will have you creating your own focal points.
