It’s the Fourth of July and there are so many festivals and celebrations this week. One of my Favorites is the Balloon Fest held in the next town over. I remember when this celebration first started when my children were young. I would pack them in the car at 5:00 AM to drive 30 minutes, pick up my mom and we would follow all the hot air balloons as they raced. We haven’t done that lately as it is much harder getting them to get up and gather together ( they’re 41-31 years old now). I don’t think we would all fit into one car anymore either.
