Easter Friends all together for an Easter greeting on this adorable card. These bunny, chick and duck images are found in the Easter Friends stamp set (157737).
I love the happy-go-lucky duck! To me, it looks like he is having a great time dancing around. Just imagine a puddle of water below as it is singing in the rain.
“I would love to be hugged,” is what this bunny seems to be saying. This image reminds me of our pet bunny, Peanut, with shorter ears.
And, that baby chick. What can I say? It is just so squishy adorable! I would just love to scoop it up in my hands and rub its furry feathers across my cheek.
I wanted to create a card that had a little bit of a vintage look and was still bright and cheery. For the vintage part, I rubbed my scissors along the edges of the two layers to rough them up. I stamped, and “washed” the color to have a water – colored look. Doing this actually gave them a more, fuzzy look!
Easter Friends all together or should I use only one image?
I thought of putting these images on a card by themselves. But then, how adorable would it be if they were all together! So, the creating began.
I stamped the images onto our Shimmery White cardstock (101910). Stamping the bunny in Crumb Cake, and the chick & duck using Crushed Curry. Using my water painters, I washed the color, from the stamped image, and added some Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo details. Setting them aside to dry then fussy cutting all three out.
Stamping the background with Granny Apple Green grass in the lower half. Using my blending brushes for the Pool Party Sky and Pear Pizzaz landscaping.
I wanted to “puff up” my adorable little buddies by using my Bone Folder to curve them. I used the mini & regular Stampin’ Dimensionals down the back, center to keep the “puffed” look. Very lightly, I positioned them and then pressed them down in place.
