Creating a card mixing returning products and newly released products is a great way to give your stamping supplies a new look!
I just love when I can give an updated look to my returning products by using newly released one’s. You can do this several ways. Update a stamp sets look by adding new, on trend, papers and embellishments. You can update papers by mixing them with new.
I update my designer series papers by laying them out on the table. I then lay out some new ones next to them. If you don’t feel you have an eye for color, look at the colors listed on the packages and combine those having the same colors within them. Once you begin doing this you will get an eye for what goes together.
I recently shared Creating a card mixing returning and newly released products
in a Facebook live. I took the returning Forever Blossoms stamp set (151457) and the newly released Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper (155499)to create a card. The paper has similar shaped flowers which coordinates with the Forever Blossoms set. I also included the Black & white gigham ribbon coming in the new July – January Mini Catalog.
Here is the video of my live;
Don’t you just love the new look this paper brings to the stamps? I love this card! Creating two cards using different card base colors gave each a slightly different look.
The first card I uses the Soft Succulent cardstock. This brought out more of the greens and allowed the pinks to take front stage.
For the second card I used Blushing Bride as my card base. The pinks still pop but the greens don’t seem to stand out as much. Comment as to which you like better!
I encourage you to look through your stamping & paper crafting supplies to see how you can bring an updated look to them. You can purchase the products I uesed through my ONLINE STORE HERE.
