Convention 2012 Day 1 is here, 6:00 AM, shower, grab camera, swaps, name tag, a bite to eat and heading over to the Salt Palace Convention Center. We are eager to pick up our Convention bag, swap, but logo items at memento Mall, swap, do Make & Takes, swap, visit the home office, swap and have I mentioned swap .,
On our way to Memento Mall we passed the bag & stamps pick up area. Darn!! They must have the 2012 Convention Bag under lock and key- no sneek peek for us!!
Memento Mall…….. This is the place I buy many of the fun give aways you get from me for hostessing a workshop, attending my events, and joining my team! I just love all the great new items Stampin’ Up! has for us! Can you believe some wait for more than an hour to be aboe to shop the exclusive items found in Memento Mall ? Here is a picture of us as we swap while standing in line.
Next we went to get our convention bags, awards, and stamp sets. One of my downline, Lora, is experiencing herr first convention. It is so much fun to see the wonderous excitement on her face as she experiences all the wonderful things Stampin’ Up! does for us. It is like watching a childs’ face as they experience Disneyland for the first time!
Love,Love, Love the convention bag!! My favorite new In-Color, Summer Starfruit………
The Gathering Place………. This is a place to see samples, product ideas, chat with old friends and meet new, and of course swap some more!!!!
Lunch break, a trip to Olive Garden is in order.
Taking time to do the make & Takes.
Can you imagine preparring for 3500 people??
……and this isn't even everyone!
These are the supplies waiting for us on the table.
Our paper and consumable supplies were found in these paper bags labeled with the stamp set we were to use. We received our stamp sets with our Convention 2012 bag.
The final thing on our agenda for the day is to visit Stampin' Up! home office in Riverton. I haven't been there since the first year they were open so I am excited to visit again. Here are a few pictures.
This is a picture of the employee lunchroom from the upper level- who wouldn't enjoy eating lunch with this view??
This is one of the displays in the Legacy Room. I am going to be stealing this idea for my birdcage!!
This is where all orders for the U.S. and Canada are processed! Looks empty?? They had special hours today. Tomorrow for opening day Stampin' Up! busses all employees over to the Salt Lake Convention Center to greet and thank the demonstrators for all they do!! Can you believe that?
What a view!! I could get used to looking at this each day as I left work.. How about you??
