Using red, white and blue to create a July 4th inspired Birthday card for a special daughter-in-law is always fun to create. My daughter-in-law isn’t a girly girl. I love creating cards for her each year with a patriotic feel for her that have a more rustic flair.
She loves natural, earthy things. I used the Pinewood Planks (#152320)embossing folder rubbed with Crumb Cake ink to create a wood looking mat. This look hopefully reminds her of shiplap. I did this same technique in another card I have recently shared, check it out here.
Now for that July 4th inspiration. Using the Daisy Lane stamp set (#149325), I stamped the daisy in Real Red with a Midnight Mist center. This should do the trick! I used the Word Wishes Dies for the Midnight Mist “Happy”. I omitted the “Happy” from the stamp using my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker for the “Birthday” from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (#151595).

Every girl likes a little bling. The blue rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#150457) were in order. For a touch of red & white stripes I did a little flag-like accent using the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack (#152466).

Do you have someone that celebrates their birthday during July? A July 4th inspired Birthday Card is fun to create! I challenge you to choose a stamp set. Using the red, white, and blue theme, choose a stamp set and accessories that fit their personality to create a card for them.
