A sunny season’s greeting for those in warmer climates.

A sunny season’s greeting makes the perfect Christmas card. I love to create some non-traditional holiday cards for those who live in a warmer climate. You know, those who don’t celebrate Christmas with snow. Some who get to enjoy the beach. . .

Many of our friend’s go south for the winter months. Lately, they have been going earlier than in the past. It used to be they would leave right after the first of the year. But now they are leaving before Thanksgiving. I’m not sure, but this might be because as we get older, we are wiser. Choosing not to travel when the bad weather is upon us, but rather choosing to go when it is still nice.

I am one that can not imagine celebrating Christmas without snow. Or at least, the cold weather. I do envy being able to go to the beach in December tho.

A sunny season’s greeting created with the beach, hues of blue, sand, and beach chairs is so inviting!

A sunny season's greeting

This card gives you the feeling you are walking onto the beach looking into the horizon. The coolness of the ocean touching the warmth of the sky.

I used the Layering Diorama dies to create a stencil. I then created the sky, water and beach by using my Blending Brushes. The chairs, umbrella and sand are from the Sunkissed stamp set. I stamped them using my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

The sentiment is stamped onto a Crumb Cake cardstock strip then I torn the right edge. I finished the card with the Gold & Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon, Iredescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the beautiful Faux Sea Glass Shapes.

While I chose to use this as one of my Christmas cards this year, it could be used for any occasion.

Products used on this card can be purchased at my online store here.

Until we meet again. . .
