A quick Birthday card is easily created for that special person. I love to create simple, season themed birthday cards.
Grabbing my favorite colors of the season is where I begin. I will then stack two to three colors in piles. Next, I choose stamp images, dies and punches I want to use.
Next I will decide if it will be masculine, feminine, or suitable for both. I love using Designer Series (patterned) paper, (DSP) and will be sure it coordinates with my color choices.
For my card today, I chose Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for two of my colors. The DSP is the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ that is available now, while supplies last. This checked pattern reminds me of a warm and fuzzy sweater. This Evening Evergreen checked pattern is fitting for both men and women and goes great with my other color choices.
A quick Birthday card with simple elements is quickly put together.

My card has lots of texture, is bright, and was simple to put together. I love the boldness of the font this sentiment has. The pattern of the ribbon, tied in a bow, is suitable for the men in my life also.
What I love about this card is that I can change out these colors to any of the others I chose. Creating a quick birthday card that is season themed is simple using this technique. I encourage you to try it!
Until we meet again. . .
