A Little Sunshine and a Butterfly brightened my day today. Sometimes, a card comes together so perfectly that it practically flutters onto the craft table on its own. That’s exactly how I felt while creating this beauty! I was inspired by the vibrant florals of the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the graceful elegance of the Sentimental Park stamp set. I knew this card needed something extra. Something light, delicate, and just a little magical. Enter my not-so-secret weapon for instant charm, the Paper Butterfly Accent!
A Garden of Mediterranean Delight
If you haven’t played with the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. I am reminded of the sun-drenched gardens on my trip to Italy. I loved watching the citrus trees gently sway full of flowers. The soft yellows, rich greens, and delicate floral patterns are the perfect backdrop for my card. This card seems to say, “I’m thinking of you, and I hope this brightens your day!”
To complement the florals, I added a layer of Old Olive cardstock, which grounds the design and makes the colors pop. Then, I tucked in a banner of Peach Pie cardstock, giving a warm sunset glow adding just the right pop of contrast.

For the sentiment, I turned to one of my favorites: the Sentimental Park stamp set. The delicate script of “thinking of” paired with the bold “YOU” creates such a heartfelt and timeless look. I love when a sentiment stands strong on its own while letting the rest of the card shine!
A Little SUnshine and a butterfly for the focal point

Of course, no card is truly complete without a standout focal point. That’s where my delicate Paper Butterfly Accent comes in. A little ink blending with Peach Pie ink brought it to life. Adding a sparkling gem at the center gave it just the right amount of dazzle. I love how it adds movement—like it’s about to take off on a little adventure of its own!
My Finishing Touch
To bring everything together, I colored some white ribbon with an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend and wrapped it around the card, tying it in a slightly rustic bow. It’s like a tiny hug, don’t you think?
This card is all about celebrating nature, friendship, and a little handmade joy. Whether you need to lift someone’s spirits or just want to send a little sunshine in the mail, this design is the perfect way to say, “I’m thinking of you.” What’s your favorite way to use butterflies on a card?
