A Little Ladybug Luv Bug is perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day of the year. I’ve always loved watching insects in our backyard gardens growing up. I have always loved bees, ladybugs, butterflies, and dragonflies.
As far back as I can remember I would sit for hours drawing and coloring my favorite insects. I would create them in different colors and patterns. Using a variety of materials made these eye catching. I would gather scraps of fabrics and paper from magazines and the mail. The items mom put into my crafting box were my favorites. I loved finding items that sparkled in this box.
Seeing our Ladybug Builder Punch (#157698) in the January – June Mini Catalog brought back these memories for me. I knew that bright colors and patterns would be needed for my creation.
Loving mixing patterns I chose to use the Sunshine and Rainbows with the Sweet Talk Designers Series Papers. The Sunshine & Rainbows DSP is a Level 1 offering for Sale A Bration, & is only available while quantities last. I found that this polka dot pattern went well with the Sweet Talk 12 x 12 DSP which can be found on page 9 in the January – June Mini Catalog. The candy boxes and hearts pattern is what I chose for this card. I will be using it on year-round projects. Check out this project using this same paper.
