Look at all those yummy vegetables from my garden! This year the weather has been great for a garden. In today’s haul I got swiss chard, cucumbers, zucchini,tomatoes,and carrots. Even with a late start due to rains in the spring I have been able to grow many different vegetables this year without much trouble. I was disappointed to find the leaves on all my bean plants eaten by bugs but I won’t use any sprays in my garden so I will need to figure out a way to keep the pests away when I plant for my fall crop of beans.I think I saw somewhere that if you put a penny in a bowl of vinegar it will keep the pests away. I am hoping to get enough cucumbers to can pickles. Any favorite recipes out there for zucchini? I will share those monsters soon!
