A Golden Butterfly sitting on this beautiful pink dahlia is the perfect finishing touch for my card today. I used the Delicate Dahlia stamp set to create my card which is a free level 2 Sale-Abration item.
This is a Distink-tive, two-step stamp set. I love that you get an assorment of solid and outline images. This gives us many choices in what we can do with it. Bonus- the images look so realistic!
I have chosen to stamp the flower using the only solid flower image for my card. I used the Magenta Madness ink for it’s beautiful brightness. Wanting the flower to be added with a Stampin’ Dimensional I needed to fussy-cut which went quick.
I used the outline leaf images so I could color it using my Stampin’ Blends. Using the dark & light Old Olive and light Granny Apple Green to color the images. I started with the darkest color, moving to the lightest using a flicking motion. I also fussy-cut the leaves.
After I assembled the card, I felt it was missing something!
A Golden Butterfly sitting on the dahlia would be the perfect touch!
Sitting and looking at my garden I see a variety of butterflies and bees enjoying the flowers. That’s what this card needs! I was sure I would find the right sized butterfly in The Butterfly Brilliant Wings Dies.
I first used my Blending Brush and Pale Papaya ink to color my Basic White cardstock giving the paper a blush of color. Then I used the Brilliant Wings Die to cut out the butterfly. I added some Gilded Leafing to it. You can purchase the products I used at my Online Store Here.
