A beautiful fall card is one of my favorites to make. I am a fall kind of person. I love the colors, smells, crisp air, and more. Loving to snuggle by the fire wrapped in a soft blanket. I know. I told you I am a beach person. Well, I am both! If I can’t be at the beach on a hot day I would rather have it be fall.
I have discovered I love the color combination of a deep purple, bright mustard yellow, and an olive green in my fall cards. I am using; Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, and Mossy Meadow for today’s card.
I began by coloring the images in the copper foil with a white design. To color the foil I used my Stampin’ Blends. I used Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss in the light. I wanted to leave some of the white ink so I only colored some of the leaves. All the flower images were colored. this technique gives a unique look to your paper. A beautiful fall card in my favorite fall colors!
The foil added a richness to my layout so I knew I had to carry this feel to my image. I stamped the images in Blackberry Bliss. Carefully, I watercolored the leaves with my three chosen colors. When you watercolor inside a water based image you need to be careful. I actually added three layers of color to get the correct depth I wanted. That is the key. yer your colors, letting them dry in between layers.
Embossing the vase and then sponging the edges adds depth and interest. My card base is Rich Razzleberry and I added a Mossy Meadow mat to the left of my image layer. The Copper Metallic DOts are from the Brushed Metallic Dots pack.
Comment and let me know what your favorite fall colors are. Do you like my selection of colors for my beautiful fall card?
