A warm beachy day suitable for friends greeting card

6 Jun

A warm beachy day is one of my favorite kinds of day. I also have friends who love the beach as much as I do. Creating cards for these friends is always so much fun. I find I can create any beach of my vision at the moment I am creating a card for these friends.

Layng on the beach, looking out into the beautiful water brings me such joy. I love watching others playing in the water and at the waters edge. In today’s card I envisioned a sailboat floating as the light breeze allows it to skirt along in the water.

Combining two bundles, the Let’s Set Sail and Paradise Palms helped in creating my vision. The Let’s Set Sail bundle includes a stamp set and the Build-A-Sailboat Punch and is available in our Annual Catalog. The products in the Paradise Palms Bundle are also in the annual catalog but are only available as a bundle through the end of June(2022). You may be thinking,” Why does this matter?” Well, you save 10% when the products are bundled, and we all love saving money!

A warm beachy day scene needs sand and palm trees too!

Using images and the dies in the Paradise Palms created my beach. I used my Blending Brushes for the base and layered the images for depth and interest.

Wanting to highlight the sailboat, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut it out. I then popped it up with Stampin’ DImensionals. This is a tirck to draw your eye to the sailboat.

I shared how to create this warm beachy day card in one of my Live Classes on Facebook. You can see how to create it here. (you must sign into Facebook to view it). Be sure to “like” and “Folow” my page to receive even more card ideas!

Unti we meet again. . .
