Tulip Fields in Navy was intentional for today’s card. Memories of my childhood were the inspiration for its creation. My idea is easily brought together with the products I used.
I fell in love with the set of Windmill Fields dies, found in our 2022 January – June Mini Catalog. Ever since I was young, we would visit my grandfather’s resting place. As soon as you enter the cemetery there is a pond with a windmill on the opposite edge of the water. I am amazed at how it was built entirely of wood and that it still stands today. One of my favorite memories is the excitement of seeing the two swans swimming in the pond.

While the windmill reminds me of a childhood memory, this, In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pattern reminds me of a set of dishes I was given from my mother-in-law. The patterns on the dishware were those of Delftware. It had scenes that included windmills and patterns similar to the paper. I love the Night of Navy and white color palette.
The Windmill Dies have detail and are easy to assemble. I chose to make this windmill like those found in the dishware.
Until we meet again. . .
