Decorative Masks with Glitter Technique for a special card for a friend who brings sparkle to every room she walks into. Do you have one of these friends? You know, the one who is always smiling and looks at the bright side of life. They’re the one who can bring the good out of everyone.

I have a few but this one friend always brings joy to me, and I was wanting to do the same for her. This card will hopefully put a smile on her face when she retrieves her mail. I have a supply of retired Stampin’ Up! (R) glitters that still coordinate with many of our current colors. But how should I use them on a card to wipe her off her feet? I know. Grabbing our *Basic Patterns Decorative Masks (150697) and our Adhesive Sheets (152334) I began the process.

The Decorative Masks with Glitter Technique is very easy to do.

Choose your favorite decorative mask. Next, choose a piece of cardstock in the color of your choice. I normally use a piece of Basic White cardstock as a base that is cut about 1/4″ larger than my finished piece. Adhere your Adhesive Sheet onto your cardstock base. I now trim my cardstock to the finished size. TIP: If you wait until you have adhered the glitter it will dull your cutting blade. Remove the protective layer from the adhesive sheet.

I chose this geometric pattern because it reminds me of a stained- glass window. The verse is perfect for my friend. I love the fonts and how bold it is. You will find the sentiment in the *Sunny Sentiments stamp set (#155034) which is on our Last Chance List. This means it is only available while supplies last or May 3rd,2022.

I share techniques (like the glitter with decorative masks) every Thursday at 7:00 PM (CT) on my Facebook Page. I’d like to invite you to join us. Whether you are needing a refresher or need to learn how to use some of your tools this may be for you! It is a great community of sharing and learning.

Here is a video showing how I created this card.

Until we meet again. . .
