A row of flowers popping up from a long winter tells us spring is almost here! Many of my daffodils are stretching their leaves towards the sky. I am happy that daffodils are strong because we had a few snow showers last weekend. We joke that we have 13 seasons here in the northern Illinois area.
I know it is only March and we will be having colder weather, but I am ready for the colors of spring to start emerging. I love all the flowers in my garden, but I especially love the daffodils. Why? Because they are yellow! . . . and a sign that spring is coming.
A row of flowers is just what I need right now!
If I can’t look out my window and see flowers in my garden yet I figured I would just have to make a card. I love the Garden Wishes Bundle of the annual catalog. Normally I would recommend that you purchase the bundle for a 10% savings. But, our Last Chance Event has begun and the set and dies are each on sale for more savings!!
I also see creating some scrapbook pages for my grandchildren when they visit Disney World and Universal. I picture the dies for a Dr. Suess layout and some fun whimsical pages! Those dandelion stamp images are perfect for Horton Hears a Who! I have created many cards with this set and want to share two of my most recent cards with you today.
For this first card I was thinking Andy Warhol. In case you don’t know, Mr. Warhol was a pop artist with a very distinctive look. I thought of him and a Disney movie when I first laid eyes on the set and coordinating dies. It definitely has a different look to it, but I absolutely LOVE this card! The bold blocks of color bring a smile to my face and joy in my heart.
This next card has the row of flowers I am imagining in my garden. The soft colors of; Smokey Slate, Balmy Blue, and Daffodil Delight have a calming effect. I stamped three of the images directly on the card front. The other two were stamped on another piece of Basic White then cut out using the coordinating die. You can see the card and how I created it by watching this video.
Let’s take a look at my recent live class’s where I shared how to create this card.
Check out the awesome deal on the Garden Wishes stamp set and Dandy dies along with other items on sale now, while supplies last.
Until we meet again. . .
