A holiday with less stress, why not start your Christmas cards early this year? I love to create an assortment of cards to send to my family and friends.
Easily accomplish this without being rushed by creating a few cards every month.
I will begin by pulling out a stamp set, a pack of Designer Series Paper and coordinating inks and cardstock. I love using up scraps whenever possible in my designs. For this card I used the Feels like Frost 6×6 Designer Series Paper stack (#150444). This patterned paper has the most gorgeous scenes on one side and silver embossed & white patterns on the reverse side. I know several of you love this paper because it sold out last year. If you missed out, don’t wait too long because it proven to be very popular again this year!
I marked out a rectangle on my stamping grid mat. I then decided where I wanted to place my pieces. Just like a puzzle, I began marking out what size pieces I would need. I began by cutting from my scraps first, then cut from whole pieces.
Arrange the pieces until you achieve the look you like. I wanted to tie the white & silver pattern with the scenery pieces and white stamped piece so I embossed the verse in silver. The Wrapped in Christmas stamp set (#153481)is a great sentiment set for the holidays.
I am a sucker for snowmen, are you? I used the Snowman Season stamp set (#150456)I chose to stamp this jolly, ever so happy, snowman in Memento and add bits of color with my Stampin’ Blends but you could also emboss it in silver. The Blue Adhesive Backed Gems add a little sparkle to my card.
Don’t wait until the holidays are upon us to begin making your Christmas and holiday cards this year. Just by doing a few every month you could enjoy a holiday with less stress this season!
