Do something creative every day – it can be healthy

Do something creative everyday – it can be healthy! It can also help with your well-being. Every day I spend a little time opening my window of creativity. When I’m not able to spend time creating cards with stamps and paper each day, I will explore creativity by searching through books, music or catalogs.

Lately I have been creating with some of my stamp sets that will be retiring on June 2,2020. One of these sets is the Crafting Forever (#151231) stamp set. this set is great for cards to send to all your crafting friends. Stampin’ Up! provides great products for papercrafters to create. This stamp set is just one that is for crafters who craft for crafters.

Both of today’s two cards are crafting-themed and share a perfect sentiment with a fun technique.

I used the coloring with acrylic blocks technique in both the following cards. I find this technique relaxing and freeing. It’s just one way to get your mind off the daily grind. For the first card I used used our Shimmery White cardstock (#101910) and four different colors of reinker.

In the second, I used our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (#149612). The technique works well with both of these papers. I often find that the colors are a bit more vibrant when you use the watercolor paper.

I love the way the colors just seem to flow on the watercolor paper when creating this card. The Shimmery White paper adds a nice, subtle shimmer to the colors. Another great set that coordinates with the Crafting Forever stamp set is the It Starts with Art set. If you’d like to see how I created these 2 cards, click here, to check out this live stamp class I did on my Facebook Page.

I didn’t use the It starts With Art Stamp Bundle (#151090) in either of my cards, it is just one more product that a crafter can use to create projects for another crafter. The added elements in the die set will give your projects that “extra” touch. If you like doing fun techniques on your cards, check this one out.

I hope you find that when you do something creative everyday – it can be healthy and that it brings as much joy to you as it does to me!
