What’s New At SU! Peaceful Poppies Suite

January 22, 2020 by Judi Anderson 7 Comments

22 Jan

This month we are creating projects using the Peaceful Poppies Suite in the What’s New at SU! blog hop. I can’t get enough of this suite! I hadn’t played with the Peaceful Poppies Elements (151327) yet so chose to see what I could create using it , a piece of 12×12 Whisper White and a few other products from the suite. Oh, and the ribbon on all the projects- it is the Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon that you can easily color to any shade!!

What was I able to create? 4, 3×3 mini cards, 3, 2×2 gift tags/cards, 1, 3×6 card and a 2×2 tag!

Aren’t these mini’s too dang cute? For the one on the right I cut the element in 1/2, fussy cutting round the images and adhered one to the inside too!

These mini’s (as I call them) are 2×2 and perfect for tucking into lunches, with a small treat, or on a desk to let others know you are thinking of them. Bet this would put a big smile on their face!

I have a habit of putting these & the 3×3 note cards in my purse and when I run into someone having a bad day, hand them one. It is so full filling seeing the smile and joy that fills them to know someone cares.

You can never have enough 3×3 cards around! I use these for gifts, thinking of you, brightening up someone’s day or giving with a bouquet of flowers.

This 3×6 card was SOoooo much fun to create. The flower came embossed on watercolor paper that you just punch out. I then took an aqua painter to color the cut outs~ so easy-peezy! The black border is, yes, another pre-cut die cut!

As you can see, the Peaceful Poppies Suite is more than meets the eye and has something for everyone.

I’m inspired both by the stunning array of cards here and the way you use them. I’m going to start keeping some in my purse for that reason, too. I love to use my craft to make the world a better place.

The 3×6 card is my favorite! I haven’t played with the elements yet, either, so I’m pulling them out now.
