Opening morning of Stampin' Up!'s convention's general session is always a time I look forward to. It is where our theme song for the year is unveiled. The opening acct is always amazing with wonderful, talented people, this year was no exception! The musicians, dancers and singers were all amazing. Did I already say that?
I loved the part when they were doing karate, kick moves. the trust and the practice it must have taken- I know none of them would have wanted me getting that close because if I could get my leg up that high, I would sure to kick them! Ummmm….. this reminds me of my friend Sherry and a story about her showing herr husband some of her moves, that's all I will reveal on that subject.
Here is our co0founder, Shelli Gardner, thanking them for their awesome perrformance and rendition of our theme song. Sorry Shelli, this isn't a great pic of you but it is the only one I had that wasn't fuzzy!
Once again, Stampin' Up! did a great job.
We had a fun first evening attending a Garden Party complete with garden hats of all shapes and sizes! Since it is Fun Friday I thought I would share a picture with you.
These were the three finalists for the Garden Hat Contest.
The girl in the center was the winner. Her hat was amazing! It was made from Stampin' Up! materials. The eehive ( she is from Utah, the beehive state) was actually the packing paper you get in the boxes your orders come in, she had paper flowers and little bees with the long "bee keeper" netting hanging down.
The gal at the far end had paper flowers attached all over her hat and the closest gals hat looked like a flower pot with tulips growing out of it.
This was a fun evening of swapping, photo booths, volley ball, games, food, drinks and more. What a way to kick off covention!
